About Marisa Marquez

Hello! Welcome to my artist online portfolio! 

My name is Marisa Marquez, and I am a very new artist. 

I grew up in the Central Valley of California with an interest in arts from a young age. Although I grew up in a town where the arts were not a priority or even really considered a real career path. I am lucky to have had an amazing art teacher in high school who pushed me to pursue my passion.

I attended California State University, Long Beach earning my Bachelor's degree in Studio Art. I started off thinking I was a painter, and although I very much love this medium, during my years at CSULB I learned to love different mediums. I branched out to try animation, ceramics, woodwork, drawing, metal work and digital art. 

I believe that my interest in all of these different formats make me a well rounded artist.

I am aware that I am young and new to this exciting world, but I have such a desire to learn more and advance my skills.
